ServiceMaster is a cleaning and restoration organization started by Marion E Wade in 1929 in Chicago, Illinois, USA. The company grew steadily and opened operations in Great Britain in 1958. ServiceMaster UK Ltd has itself grown steadily through its franchise network developing a reputation for delivering consistently good cleaning restoration services.

ServiceMaster (Exeter & Torbay) has been operated for over 35 years, and for the past seven years by current directors Ken and Jane Rudge. Ken has grown up in the ServiceMaster family, his father having worked for the franchiser since Ken was seven years old.

Starting on his own in a van, ServiceMaster (Exeter & Torbay) has grown to a full time staff of 10 people and now includes a small fleet of yellow vans and two branches (in Exeter and Torquay).

The business has staff who host a wealth of experience and expertise. The business has invested heavily in training, equipment and its workshop facilities and is well placed to provide the finest cleaning and restoration services in the area. The business is positioned to provide ‘the most thorough cleaning possible and wholeheartedly adopts the approach that the way in which service is provided is just as important as providing the services themselves. There is no stronger name in the residential and commercial cleaning market. All the major insurance companies have employed disaster restoration services and Service Master have been a key service provider to the many homes suffering severe fire and water damage, particularly over recent years. Commercial customers range from large hotel groups, retail outlets, local councils, schools and colleges, restaurants and large construction companies.
